Camper cars are fun - even over 4 weeks - but there is still something nice about having a fixed roof and no wheels when you sleep.

Helen took a week off work to spend more time with us. We spent a couple of full days in Wellington (botanical gardens, shops, National Museum "Te Papa", waterfront).

Delphine and Alister took advantage of Helen's popularity with the children to let her babysit and go out for a fun evening in downtown Wellington (Courtney Place, Cuba Mall, the Matterhorn Bar). We also spent a couple of days just around Helens neighbourhood (Tawa, Porirua) walking Gemma.

Now we are about to launch ourselves into the tour of the North Island, starting with a short stay with Uncle Roger and Wendy in Masterton.
